Paddy straw and Napier grass are recognized as key feedstocks essential for scaling CBG production. However, while paddy straw is abundantly available, challenges in procuring large quantities persist raising questions about why Punjab farmers continue to burn it instead of selling it for additional income.
Similarly, Napier grass appears promising, yet large-scale cultivation (thousands of hectares) has not been widely adopted over the years.
